Winter Uniform should be worn exclusively between November and April (after October half term up to Easter holidays). Of course if we are having extremely hot weather during these times the school may allow an extension of summer uniform or for it to be worn early.
Summer uniform can be worn in the Summer terms (after Easter holidays until the end of the academic year) and up to the October half term. In exceptionally hot weather the school may relax uniform rules or ask children to come in PE kits but communication will be given by the school.
For reasons of Health and Safety we recommend that all shoes should be sensible with no heel and closed in toes.
Jewellery worn should be as follows:
One wristwatch, one pair of stud earrings (which need to be removed for P.E or covered with micropore tape-supplied by home)
If a child is wearing more jewellery than they may be asked to remove it and it will be returned at the end of the school day as we wish to avoid any unnecessary accidents. The school cannot accept liability for the loss of expensive jewellery.
Hair:
We ask that any hair longer than shoulder length is tied neatly back.
We have recently had many children returning from holidays with added hair extensions or brightly coloured braids plaited into their hair. We would ask that these are all removed before returning to school.
Any items of school uniform that are likely to be lost or taken off during school should be clearly marked with the child’s name please! We find it very hard to find lost jumpers without names!
All uniform can be purchased from Uniform wise in Stanford-Le-Hope and Uniforms by Niki who also are happy to embroider royal blue jumpers and cardigans that are purchased elsewhere:
