This funding is given to schools to be specifically used to promote healthy lifestyles, physical activity and sports in primary schools with the aim to reduce childhood obesity and improve children’s health.
Each school is required to repost annually on how this funding has been spent.

Swimming Data
Usually Year 3 attend swimming lessons within the academic year. This year, both Year 4 and 5 will take part in swimming in order to address gaps in the curriculum where they were unable to swim due to restrictions.
Information for the cohort 2019/20 and 2020/2021 was unable to be obtained due to Covid-19 and lockdown.
2018/19 cohort of 31 pupils.
25 pupils (80%) were able to:
- swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres.
- use a range of strokes effectively.
- perform safe self rescue in different water based situations.
