Welcome To Orsett CE Primary School

ORSETT CE PRIMARY SCHOOL-Part of the Diocese of Chelmsford Vine Schools Trust

Welcome to Orsett C. of E. Primary School’s website. We hope that you will find it gives you a clear insight into education that we provide for our children. I have been the substantive Headteacher since Easter 2016, having been the Deputy Head since 2010. I am looking forward to continuing all the hard work that has gone into the school in the past 8 1/2 years! We will continue to ensure that our school is a successful, family centred, Christian community where our children are at the heart of all we do. We firmly believe that every child has a unique destiny and has the ability to flourish and shine in all they do. We recognise that all children will have differing abilities in all areas and will learn in different ways. Therefore, we will ensure that we provide a lively, vibrant and varied curriculum both during school hours and through extra-curricular activities so as to give our children the opportunity to make the most of their skills and talents, preparing them for life’s journey. As a Church of England (Aided) school we nurture all our children, giving them opportunities to develop their own spirituality in an atmosphere of trust, through discussions and reflection time, so that they develop a caring attitude towards all and a sensitive appreciation of the differences, beliefs and attitudes to life of others. Our Christian values: friendship, compassion, perseverance, respect and honesty are a central part of our daily lives. We believe that it is only through a close partnership between home and school that children will gain the maximum possible from their education. Consequently we actively encourage the involvement of parents (and members of the local community) as there is a wealth of differing talents that can be accessed for the benefit of our children. Please do take the time to browse through the various pages on our site which we update regularly as we continue to make improvements to the quality of teaching and learning at our school so that we ensure that we are always achieving our vision of:

Celebrating the uniqueness of every child of God in our Christian community and encourage them to flourish and shine in all they do preparing them for life’s journey.

“God’s word is a lamp to guide our feet and a light for our path” inspired by Psalm 119:105

Our journey starts here…

We always welcome visits to our school and if you wish to make an appointment to meet us and to have a tour of the school please contact either Mrs Fox or Mrs Pritchard in our School Office where they will arrange a mutually convenient time to visit us.
